How to Thicken BBQ Sauce
There are many ways to thicken BBQ sauce but the cornstarch method is the most universal. It works with a variety of BBQ sauces from homemade to storebought.

BBQ sauce
Instructions
In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and cold water until smooth.
In a medium saucepan, heat the BBQ sauce over medium-high heat until it comes to a simmer.
Gradually pour the cornstarch mixture into the simmering BBQ sauce, whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
Continue whisking until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency, usually about 2-3 minutes.

Serve the BBQ sauce as desired or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
