A homemade dog breath mints recipe that is easy to make from healthy whole-food ingredients. Get your dog's breath smelly minty fresh while pampering them with special DIY dog treats.
In a large bowl all the ingredients together. Mix until the dough just comes together. It will be sticky.
Turn out onto a piece of parchment paper. Using another piece of parchment paper on top, press or roll out the dough. Using a cookie cutter or knife cut out the treats into your preferred size*
Place mints about ¼-inch apart on a cookie sheet. Bake 35 minutes or until golden and crispy. Allow the treats to cool completely before feeding.
Notes
Make the oat flour by pulsing whole oats in a food processor for 90 seconds until you get a powder.
Lining the cooking sheet with parchment is optional but does prevent sticking.
*Cut the mints into sizes that are appropriate for the size of your dog, i.e. the treats should be the size of the treats your dog normally receives.
Store in an airtight container or freeze for up to 3 months.
