Slow Cooker Applesauce with Brown Sugar
Homemade applesauce with cinnamon and spices made in your slow cooker in just a few hours. This applesauce recipe can be made smooth or chunky and is perfect to freeze or canning.

apples
peeled and cut into ½ inch wedges

brown sugar

ground cinnamon

ground nutmeg

ground cloves

lemon juice

Instructions
Add everything into the crockpot and stir to coat the apples in the spices.
Cook on high for 3 hours. Stir about halfway through to ensure there are no hot spots.
After the 3 hours, or once the apples are soft, whisk the apples until they are silky smooth, or until they reach your desired consistency.
Notes
Makes about 4 cups.
