This spicy jalapeno syrup recipe is perfect for cocktails, or even drizzling over ice cream. It adds a unique layer of complexity to margaritas and mules.
1-2fresh jalapeñossliced (adjust for desired spice level)
Pinch of saltoptional
Instructions
Combine 1 cup water and 1 cup granulated sugar in a saucepan, stirring over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Add the sliced jalapenos and them to the sugar-water mixture. Add a pinch of salt if deisred.
Bring to a low simmer and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes to infuse flavors. Remove from heat, cool for a few minutes, and strain the syrup to remove jalapeño slices.
