Cider Braised Pork Shoulder

Pork shoulder (also called Boston butt) is an inexpensive cut of pork that is great for making a big family dinner.  Slow roasting in cider gives it the perfect texture.

Crisp the Bacon

Crisp the bacon and set aside. We add it back at the end. 

Sear

Season the pork and sear each side of the roast. Remove the roast and cook onions until soft.

Braise

Add the cider and cook in the oven until tender. 

Pan Sauce

Let the pork rest while you make the pan sauce.
