Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all the ingredients. Cover and shake for 20 seconds or until the outside of the shaker frosts. Strain the cocktail into a rocks glass filled with and serve.
Frozen Blueberry Margarita
Add all the ingredients to a blender with 1 ½ cups per ice. Blend until slushy and pour into a glass.
Blueberry Simple Syrup
Add all ingredients to a saucepan. Lightly crush blueberries. Place over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure the sugar dissolves the blueberry breaks down.
Strain through cheese cloth and/or a mesh strainer. Cool to room temperature before using.
Notes
Try adding a sugar and salt rim to the glass by combining on a plate. Run a slice of lime along the rim of a rocks glass. Dip the rim of the glass into the salt.
The blueberry syrup can be stored for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
