A light, delicately lavender simple syrup recipe that’s perfectly balanced. Use this homemade lavender syrup in everything from cocktails to iced tea and fancy lattes to brushing on cakes to keep them moist.
Combine the water and 1 cup granulated sugar in a saucepan, stirring over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
Remove the sugar mixture from the heat and stir in the lavender flowers. Set aside to let steep for about 15 minutes. Once steeped, strain through a fine mesh strainer and allow to cool for another 15 minutes.
