Lychee fruit tastes like a mix of grapes, pears, and watermelons, so if you've never tried them, you can imagine just how delightfully sweet they are.
This lychee martini and my blueberry lemon drop martini are my go-to drinks for date nights and dinner parties!
📖Why My Recipe Works
Swirling the vermouth in the glass is a classic high-end martini technique that adds a hint of flavor without overpowering the vodka.
🧾Ingredient Notes
- Lychee Syrup - Use the syrup from canned lychees and save the whole lychees for garnish. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add a splash of simple syrup.
- Vodka- Stick with your favorite unflavored vodka.
- Dry Vermouth- Use any dry vermouth on hand.
⏲️How to Make a Lychee Martini
- Swirl around the vermouth in a martini glass to coat the sides, then shake out the excess.
- Combine vodka, lychee syrup, and ice and shake until the outside of the shaker frosts over. Strain it into a martini glass, then garnish with a skewered lychee or a twist of lemon peel.
Flavorful Ideas
- Add a shake of grapefruit bitters or a squeeze of lime juice for a bright, citrusy note.
- Add a lemon sugar rim to the glass by combining granulated sugar and lemon zest.
- Save your extra lychees to make tropical iced tea or sweet lemonade.
