📖Why This Recipe Works
Perfectly balanced flavors - Blueberry simple syrup gives this recipe the right amount of sweetness combined with the tartness of lemon juice and the flavors of vodka.
🧾Ingredient Notes
- Vodka- Use any brand of vodka you like. The better the quality of vodka, the better the drink will be. If you want to switch it up, you can also use dry gin.
- Lemon juice- You can use fresh or bottled lemons. But I like to use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
- Blueberry simple syrup- This recipe uses my homemade blueberry simple syrup recipe, which is made from fresh blueberries. You can also use frozen blueberries for this recipe. You can also make this recipe with my blackberry syrup.
- Lemon slices and fresh blueberries- While completely optional, you can garnish your cocktail with lemon slices and blueberries to make it more visually pleasing.
⏲️How to Make the Blueberry Lemon Drop Martini
Make the blueberry syrup and strain through a cheesecloth or fine mesh sieve to remove the pulp.
Save the extra syrup for a blueberry margarita!
Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Then, combine and shake before straining the cocktail into a martini glass.
Expert Tip
- When making the simple syrup, use a muddler to crush the blueberries easily and strain them with a cheesecloth-like sieve for a silky texture!
- If you don't have a cocktail shaker, a jar with a tight-fitting lid will work!
