The acidity of the lemon enhances the fruity floral notes of the lychee, making the drink more refreshing, while the syrup adds the perfect amount of sweetness.
🧾Ingredient Notes
- Lychee- Use canned "in syrup" lychee. If not, you need to add more simple syrup.
- Lemon Juice- Freshly squeezed lemon is best, but you can use bottled lemon juice in a pinch.
- Granulated Sugar- To make the simple sugar syrup.
⏲️How to Make Lychee Lemonade
- Add water and sugar to the saucepan. Heat it over low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. If you want to skip turning on your stove, make it in the microwave.
- After blending the lychees, strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove any pulp for a smoother texture. You can skip this step or leave some lychee pulp if you prefer.
- Taste the lychee juice before adding the simple syrup. Combine everything in a large pitcher with ice cubes, then serve and enjoy!

.Instead of simple sugar syrup, add blueberry simple syrup. You can also blend in fresh or frozen strawberries for a fruity twist.

Lychee Lemonade
Ingredients
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 5 ¼ cups cold water divided
- 20 ounce can of lychee in syrup
- 1 ½ cups lemon juice fresh or bottled
Instructions
- Mkae the simple cyrup by adding ¼ cup water and sugar to a saucepan. Heat over low to dissolve the sugar.½ cup granulated sugar
- In a blender, puree the canned lychees with 1 cup of water until smooth. Strain the juice.20 ounce can of lychee in syrup, 5 ¼ cups cold water
- In a pitcher, combine the lemon juice, remaining cold water, lychee juice, and simple syrup. Stir well. Serve over ice.1 ½ cups lemon juice
Notes
- For sweeter lemonade, add additional cooled simple syrup as desired.
- Straining the pureed lychee reduces chalkiness.
- Keep chilled for up to 3 days.

Store lychee lemonade in a glass pitcher with a cover. Keep it in the fridge for up to 3 days. Give it a good stir before serving, as the ingredients will separate over time.Equipment
