I am a refreshing cocktail kind of lady. Lychee martini? Yes, please! Strawberry smash? Heck yes! But a fresh fruit twist on a classic margarita is absolutely perfection.
📖Why My Recipe Works
- Fruity and Refreshing - This fresh peach cocktail is the perfect blend of sweet and citrusy with a hint of sweetness. Whether you prefer on the rocks or frozen margaritas, it's perfect for warm summer months!
- No Peach Schnapps - Because Schnapps are terrible and I want to save you from that pain.
- No Boiling - You don't need to boil the peaches to peel them using my easy method (see below photos).
🧾Ingredient Notes
- Peaches- I love using fresh peaches but frozen work in a pinch.
- Tequila - Use any tequila brand you prefer. For the best flavor, use a high-quality blanco tequila or reposado tequila.
- Orange Liqueur - You can use triple sec, Cointreau, or a dry curacao (NOT blue!). For a less boozy cocktail, try using plain orange juice.
- Lime Juice - Fresh or bottled works fine.
- Simple Syrup - For a richer flavor, try demerara simple syrup, but I typically use my microwave simple syrup for each.
- Extras- Kosher salt for the rim and slices of peaches and limes for garnish.
Spicy Peach Margarita Variation
To make a lightly spicy version, swap the simple syrup for jalapeno simple syrup.
⏲️How to Make a Peach Margarita
- To peel the peaches, cut them into 8 sections, twist to free the pit. Peel the skin off each slice.
- Puree the peaches. For fresh, I use an immersion blender but use a blender if they are frozen.
- Put all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. When the outside frosts over it is ready.
- To make this recipe frozen, add all the ingredients to a blender with 1 ½ cups of ice. Blend it until slushy and pour into a glass to enjoy!

Peach Margarita
Ingredients
- 1 ripe peach peeled and pitted, or ½ cup peach puree or thawed frozen peaches
- 3 ounces tequila
- 1.5 ounces orange liqueur Cointreau, triple sec, dry curacao etc
- 1 ounce fresh lime juice
- ½ ounce simple syrup
- salt for rim peach slices and lime wedges for garnish
Instructions
Peach Margarita on the Rocks
- In a blender, add the peaches, lime juice and simple syrup. Blend until smooth.1 ripe peach, 1 ounce fresh lime juice, ½ ounce simple syrup
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the peach mixture, tequila, and triple sec. Shake well for 15–20 seconds.3 ounces tequila, 1.5 ounces orange liqueur
- Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass. Dip the rim in salt. Fill each glass with ice, then strain the margarita over the top. Garnish with a lime wedge or peach slice.salt for rim
Frozen Peach Margarita
- Add all the ingredients to a blender with 1½ cups of ice. Blend until slushy, then pour into the prepared glass (see above).
