Using fresh peaches has seriously leveled up my cocktail game. They’re naturally sweet, super juicy, and somehow pair perfectly with just about any spirit. Try my peach margarita or peach bourbon sour—you’ll see exactly what I mean.
📖Why My Recipe Works
- Real Fruit - No artificial flavors here, just fresh, juicy peaches and honey for that naturally sweet flavor.
- Smoky Taste - Has a signature smokiness that you only get from mezcal.
🧾Ingredient Notes
- Peach - Fresh peaches make all the difference, but frozen works too.
- Mezcal - A type of tequila with a unique smoky flavor. Use whatever brand you like.
- Honey Simple Syrup - Made from scratch with honey and water. You can also use brown sugar syrup or demerara simple syrup.
- Club Soda - For a boozy spritz, add prosecco instead of club soda.
⏲️How to Make Peach Mezcal Spritz
- The trick to peeling peaches without boiling is to slice them into 8 portions, twist to remove the pit, and then peel off each slice.
- Puree the peaches together with the simple syrup. You can use an immersion blender for fresh peaches, but make sure to use a blender for frozen.
- Shake the cocktail mixture vigorously for 15–20 seconds, until it’s well-chilled and lightly diluted.
- Slowly pour the club soda over the back of a spoon to keep those fizzy bubbles alive. Then top it off with a thin peach slice or a fresh basil leaf for a nice finishing touch.
👩🏻🍳 Expert Tips
- Make the simple syrup ahead to have in on hand whenever you need a sweetener for drinks.
- Pop your glass in the freezer while you prep.
- Strain the juice through a fine mesh strainer for an extra smooth cocktail.
- Make a spicy rim with a mixture of Tajin and sugar and use chamoy sauce to stick it on.
